Abriachan Forest has been in community ownership since 1998, which means that if you live in the local community, the forest belongs to you.
Community members are represented by a Board of Trustees who meet once a month to discuss the care and management of the forest, conservation work, education and community engagement as well as process important legal and governance issues. We host a public AGM every summer where Trustees are elected.
If you have an interest in the future of the forest and support What We Do, why not become a Member?
Membership is free, although if you are able, we welcome a monthly or annual donation (see how to donate.) If you don’t live locally but would like to support the work of the Trust, you can become an Associate Member. Junior members are also welcome.
By becoming a member, you will:
- Receive a seasonal newsletter to stay up-to-date on news
- Be first to find out about events and volunteering opportunities
- Take part in Members’ events across the year
- Receive an invitation to our AGM (usually in the summer)
- Have your say in the care of the forest
